Congratulation!
Dear all Parishioners! Our Parish has successfully celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation for our students, both from Saint Fiacre’s Primary School and Leichhardt’s Public School. I could see that many candidates came with great excitement, together with their parents. And when the celebration was over, everyone brought their joy back to their families. That’s truly a great experience! I believe that all of this could happen because of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who worked through the parents and teachers/catechist. They have worked hard in educating and preparing their children. So, from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you for your hard work.
Update from Our Parish
We know that restrictions on church attendance have been eased further to allow for more attendees at Masses. However, because of the four-square-meter rule is still in force, there are no changes in our Parish. At St Fiacre’s Church, this means that only 100 participants are allowed per celebration (weekday/weekend Masses, funerals, weddings, and baptisms). For baptism, especially, our Parish now opens the possibility to ministry two baptisms in a celebration, with a maximum of 30 guests per family. For more information regarding this, please contact the Parish Office.
Furthermore, our church is required to keep records of all people who are attending all activities in the church (for contact tracing purposes). Also, the NSW Government recommends that church-goers continue to use hand sanitizer and wear face masks when attending Mass. – Fr Pio.
