Special Mass for HSC Students
Dear parishioners, I noticed that completing a senior high school level studies is quite stressful and challenging, both for students and for their parents. Therefore, support from various people – including from the church – is needed. It is for this reason that on this Sunday 18th October, at 5:00 PM, our Parish community will have a special Mass dedicated for all students who are sitting their Higher School Certificate (HSC) this year. I invite the students and their families to join this special celebration. There will be a blessing after the Holy Communion.
Parish Catechists
As I had mentioned last week, our Parish is opening the opportunities for parishioners who are interested to become catechists. Becoming a catechist is a vital vocation in supporting the growth of your local Parish, and I can see the urgent needs of our Parish today to have a group of dedicated people who are willing to volunteer and invest their time and energy to proclaim Jesus Christ to others, both for school students and our parishioners in general. If you feel the call, please let me know, or you can contact the Parish Office.
Mass Intentions on November
We will dedicate the entire month of November to pray for our deceased family, friends, relatives, and all souls in Purgatory. For this purpose, our Parish will provide special November Mass envelopes at the foyer of the church entrance. I invite you to take it and write down the names of your family members who have died, and who want to be prayed for during Holy Mass. Please put your envelope in a special box that has been provided in front of the altar.
I will put all registered names in the Book of Remembrance, which will be put on the altar at each Mass. Please note that no other intention will be prayed for during November if the intention is related to someone’s death. I encourage you and family to attend Mass, and therefore, pray with other parishioners for the same intention: may their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Planned Giving Registration
Our Parish is grateful for your continued support. With adequate financial assistance, our Parish can do many things for maximizing our Parish ministries in the future. At the moment, our Parish opens the opportunities for all parishioners to take part in the Planned Giving Programme. Please take the registration form next to the donation box in the foyer of the Church. Thank you very much for your support.
Finally, have a good weekend everyone. Stay safe, and may God bless you! – Fr Pio.
