Merry Christmas Everyone!

With great joy and gratitude, I and the Capuchin Friars in Leichhardt (Fr Gerard, Fr John, Fr Gregory, Fr Patrick, and Fr Benjamin) extend to you a holy and blessed Christmas. We pray that Christmas this year will bring more faith, hope and love in your heart.

The world might say that 2020 is a pandemic year, a year full of challenges and uncertainties. Indeed, we do not deny it. However, like Saint Paul, we also courageously say: “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:35, 37).

Therefore, let us welcome Him, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, into our unique manger, which is our heart.
