Parish Project for Digital Media and National Child Protection Week

Parish Project for Digital Media

Live streaming Masses and PowerPoint presentations at funeral services are vital and integral activities in our Parish during this time. Unfortunately, until now our Parish does not have adequate facilities to accommodate them. The live streaming tools we have now are elementary and temporary, and the overhead projector in the church often does not work properly.

In line with the urgent needs of our Parish today, I invite you to participate in the process of upgrading this vital equipment. Financially, I understand very well that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us. However, I also see that there is no better time to start this urgent project. And for this reason, I invite all of you to participate in the process of upgrading digital media facilities within our beautiful church.

The ultimate goal of this project is that future live streaming activities at St Fiacre’s church will not be limited to Holy Mass only but also be open to baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other church activities.

So, I humbly ask for your support. You can give your donation via BPOINT here: https://www.bpoint.com.au/pay/LEICHHARDTPARISH. Please choose option “1761311 – Support for Parish Projects.” Alternatively, if you need the Parish bank account details, please contact us directly via email at fiacre@capuchinfriars.org.au or call us at 0478777498. Many thanks for your generous support. May God bless you abundantly!

National Child Protection Week

Our Archdiocese is celebrating Child Protection Week, which will end this Sunday, 12th September. Child Protection Week and Safeguarding Sunday want to invite us to reflect upon our legal, moral, and spiritual duty to care for our children and young people. In our efforts to develop awareness and responsibility towards children and young people in our Parish and communities, I invite you to download and learn the new resources that the Archdiocese has released. Please see the resources here: https://www.sydneycatholic.org/safeguarding-and-child-protection. – Fr Pio.
